Deep Link Debugger
Paste any link. See how it dies in the Instagram in-app browser — and how the same link, zipped, opens the real app. Free, no login.
Why do my links open inside the Instagram browser?
Instagram, TikTok, and most social apps open every tapped link in their own in-app webview, where visitors aren't logged in to the destination app and often bounce. A plain link can't escape it — a deep link that fires the app's own URL scheme can.
What does this tool actually check?
It runs your URL through the same deeplink table Zippy's redirect engine uses in production: which native app owns the link, the exact iOS scheme and Android intent Zippy would fire, and whether the tap escapes the in-app browser to the real app.
What if the platform has no app scheme?
Some platforms (like GitHub) publish no custom URL scheme, only Universal Links — which never fire inside a webview. For those, Zippy escapes the visitor out to real Safari instead. And for links no app owns, Zippy is a normal (still trackable, still editable) short link.
